I know it’s been a while (again) I mean I don’t know. I don’t have an excuse. It’s a combination of being distracted and making wedding plans (even though i have no idea what the hell I’m doing). I couldn’t really think of anything to write. And then last week it hit me – The Return of Saturn. MY return of saturn. My 29th birthday was last Friday. Read more..
I remember I was in 8th grade when the “Sunscreen Song” came out. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that it was 14 years ago already!! It inspires me… even listening to it now. So much has changed in my life in that time but I get the same feelings when I hear it now.
Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind… the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself.
Taylor Swift released her new song yesterday and ok yes I really enjoy it. (The teenager in me is jumping and dancing!) This stop animation video of the lyrics makes the song even better. I’m actually thinking about making my own stop animation video now. I have no idea what I’d make but I’m sure I’ll think up something. It also seems to be a trend among many artists. Katy Perry did something similar with her song Part of Me. I think it all started with youtube users and people making their own lyric videos at home. Now the big wigs have caught on! I guess they don’t see how important lyrics are to people… its sometimes the only reason I listen to a song! Back when I used to buy CDs that was the first thing I’d do. Play the cd and read the lyrics in the little booklet. I’m kind of excited they are getting more and more creative with these videos, can’t wait to see what they do next.
Someone pointed this awesome video out to me and I had to share. Not only is the video and music awesome but they recorded it using sunlight. This is far beyond calculators in 9th grade. This is some serious SOLAR power. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! “Ooo Wah Hoo” by Karmic Juggarnaut
This video was pointed out to me by my Uncle – he emailed it to me thinking I might enjoy it. He was right! We are far from our clearly-animated but still very awesome 80’s movies. It is very hard to tell what is real and what is fake anymore! This is a video showing how scenes from the TV show Boardwalk Empire. It’s incredible how much of each scene is created by computer graphics.
This video from Improv Anywhere is quite old in “You Tube Years” but I got a kick out of it – I hadn’t seen it until a few days ago. I’m always amused by actors having to stand completely still – I’m not sure why. This video is really funny – I am now wondering is this a reality tv show somewhere that I don’t know about?
I came across this really amazing 360 video of the Sistine Chapel. The art history nerd inside my head is saying yay! I was very happy to come across this, I would love to see it someday. Take a look, even if you do not know what it is appreciate that every image was painted… by hand!
