My *emera bag

I had wishlisted the emera bag back and ended up getting it for my birthday! (woohoo!). I will say that it has been a GREAT bag for all my cameras and other photography items. I want to also mention that this is not a sponsored blog post and my desire to blog about this bag is because I actually love it not because I was asked or paid to.

I had been looking for a new bag for a while and when Ashley made this great blog post ALL about camera bags, I clicked every link until I found something that could work for me. I’m not too much of a girlie girl but I knew I didn’t want a traditional black camera bag – its just too boring.

Emera Circle Print Messenger

This emera bag is the “Circle Print Messenger Bag“. It’s SUPER sturdy, and the strap is the same if not stronger than a seat belt. The bag is may not seem too big, and it isn’t but it does hold a lot. I currently have my dSLR, an extra zoom lens, a lensbaby, my instax camera and other small items in mine. It comes with 4 separators and they attach by velcro. All of the sides on the inside can work with the velcro. So far I have only had to use 3 but there are plenty of pockets to keep the extra one around.

The bag has magnet snaps and the cover is slightly heavy enough to fall on its own.

There are three pockets, one on the front, on the back and on the inside. All-in-all this is a great bag and has worked perfectly on trips through the city and I don’t have to worry about my camera because this bag is very strong and protects it enough. I’m very picky when it comes to my electronics… I always want to keep them safe! So if you are on the fence about getting this bag, maybe because of the price or you are not sure about it… I would say GO FOR IT. This is a bag that will last you a long time to come.

birthday wishlisted

My birthday is next month and my mom keeps asking “what do you want? send me your wishlist!”. This has got to be the first year where I have no idea. I have a few things I could USE but nothing I am super excited for… does that make sense? Can they invent something I want before my birthday please? These are some things I had in mind:

I really could use a bigger camera bag to hold my extra lenses too…

These photoshop magnets are just great, especially considering I am using it most of my day

I did want to get a macro lens for my lensbaby… hmmm!

Any other cool things I should know about for my wishlist?? Let me know! :)

the year of the muppets

About 2 weeks ago I ordered this shirt from Threadless – a really awesome Muppet shirt of Kermit but when you look closely, you can see ALL the characters he is made out of. I just love it. I can’t even believe it has sold out already, well actually I can because who doesn’t love the Muppets? I think every 80′s baby can agree… The Muppets are LEGENDS. I think if you really want the shirt you can just visit the “bring em back” section and you can vote for it to be re-printed again.
I’m even more excited because a handful of known musicians got together and remade songs from the Muppets and called it The Green Album. I haven’t bought it yet, but its wishlisted. My birthday is in less than 2 months so I will just be patient!! It will also get me pumped for The new Muppet movie coming out this Thanksgiving.

Methane Studios & DMB

This year I attended quite a few Dave Matthews Band shows (I’m a long time fan). I was so tempted to purchase some of the posters they had at each show. The designs were so awesome, and unique for each individual concert. I thought to myself “Now that’s an awesome job, designing posters for DMB!”. I came to find that they are designed by Methane Studios. They have a very unique style and I can’t stop staring. I just want to absorb every last bit of every design. This is a site all artists should check out and even if you aren’t artsy you will enjoy viewing their portfolio. Here are some DMB examples (these are just SOME of my favorites). To view more of these check out their DMB portfolio.
