Beach Chair by Jay-Z really moves me. The radio plays a lot of noise but with certain people you just know their is real talent there.
I came across this really amazing 360 video of the Sistine Chapel. The art history nerd inside my head is saying yay! I was very happy to come across this, I would love to see it someday. Take a look, even if you do not know what it is appreciate that every image was painted… by hand!
What a busy busy holiday season it has been! It’s been crazy but I am glad January is almost here and we can hibernate for a while. A few weeks ago I received a comment on this blog post – one a I had discussed a book I found at a second hand shop. The owner of the shop had told me it was part of the estate from Murray Stein but the book itself had “Lou Kashins” written on it.
It is for reasons like this that I love the internet! He found my blog because he was searching his uncle’s name. I think that is so awesome that you can discuss a thought and the next thing you know someone has the same thought, googles it, and then you are connected. I am always glad to learn the history behind the second hand items I come across. There is so much more depth to something that had a life before it got to you. Thank you Lee for finding my blog and sharing your story!
Yesterday I downloaded Paper Camera on my droid2 one of my friends suggested I download it. It’s fun and has some really artsy effects for photos – probably the best photo effect app I have tried. Effects like “sketch up” “pastel perfect” and “bleaching”. It was only 10 cents yesterday during Android’s Celebration but even though now it’s back to $2 its definitely worth it…
THIS IS FUN! You can create your own beat box! Took me a moment to figure it out, but you drag the icons at the bottom to the character and each one is a different music element. I’m convinced I’m still a kid at heart, because little things like this make me very excited… I think I am going to be emailing this to my little cousins 🙂 Check it out at Incredibox.fr.
